✧ How long does a session last?

My sessions are set at 50 minutes.

✧ What should I expect during a first session?

My first goal during a initial session is for you to feel at ease and to just start getting to know you and your goals. I think of it as beginning to create a map of your history and hopes for therapy. I’m also going to explore if there are specific therapies that you want to try (EMDR, IFS, traditional talk therapy, ect), as well as assess if those therapies are a good fit for your symptoms.

✧ What payment methods to you accept?

I accept credit/debit cards, HSA, check and cash. I don’t take insurance at this time, but can provide a document for out-of-network insurance reimbursement.

✧ How quickly can I try EMDR?

It’s important to know that this is different for each person! It’s very common and a necessary part of EMDR that time is taken to assess severity of symptoms, ability to regulate when triggered, and support systems in place before going into the “reprocessing” part. If you’re eager to try EMDR this can be something we explore and make a plan for together.
